Your Treatment: What to Expect at Roots Behavioral Health

Before recommending ketamine treatments, an expert team member at Roots Behavioral Health will assess your suitability for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. If you’re deemed a good candidate, the KAP process will typically take place over 1-3 sessions. During each session, the therapist provides safety and guidance, helping you remain comfortable throughout the experience. Ketamine leads to a unique softening of a person’s ego defenses, so as ketamine’s primary effects subside, you and the therapist will then discuss the experience and mutually work to find solutions for the areas of focus.
