A psychedelic trip can bring new perspectives when properly taken. And since self-medicating psychedelics is risky, trust the experts at the Baltimore Ketamine Clinic.
If you’re determined to be a good candidate for ketamine infusion therapy after receiving a free telephone consultation, Baltimore Ketamine Clinic will arrange your first treatment appointment. On that day, it is safe for you to eat 6 hours prior to your infusion. The clinic recommends a light meal to minimize nausea. Clear liquids (such as apple or cranberry juice, water, soda, coffee with no milk or sugar, and tea) are allowed 2 hours before your infusion. You will be required to have a responsible adult to take you home following your treatment (Uber is not acceptable). Driving for the rest of the day is not recommended.
You are welcome to bring your music, take a nap, or just close your eyes and relax during the infusion.
Following the initial series of IV ketamine treatment—Baltimore Ketamine Clinic recommends six treatments over two to three weeks for mood disorders and 3-10 infusions for pain conditions—patients may be offered maintenance treatments or a “booster” dose.
