People with various chronic pain and mood disorders can find relief from their symptoms at Lighthouse Infusions and Seattle Ketamine. The health center provides ketamine infusion therapy for patients that have not found recovery through traditional forms of treatment. Conditions they treat at the clinic include depression, major anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, migraines, and complex regional pain syndrome.
Ketamine for Wellness is led by Liana Ren, a certified registered nurse anesthesiologist. She and her husband Eli Ren operate the clinic together. Liana has followed the research surrounding breakthrough ketamine therapy treatments since 2006. As the evidence became clear that ketamine can help people with treatment-resistant disorders, Liana and her husband decided to open Lighthouse Infusions and Seattle Ketamine to help people regain control of their health once and for all.
Infusions are administered in a private, spa-like treatment room. Each room features a comfortable recliner, diffuse lighting, and a variety of amenities available to help you relax during your infusion, including eye-masks, earplugs, a white-noise machine, and seating for a friend or family member if you would like someone to accompany you during your infusion.
During the infusion, you will feel what some patients describe as “floaty.” Although some patients enjoy the sensation, for others it can create a sense of anxiety. As skilled anesthesia providers, Lighthouse Infusions has an array of medications available that staff can use to help prevent or alleviate any unpleasant side effects you may experience during your infusion.
The length of your treatment will depend on the condition you are being treated for and how your body reacts to the medications, as well as your needs and preferences. Lighthouse Infusions begins every appointment by talking with you about how you are feeling, how you felt after your previous infusion, and any changes the staff can make to improve your experience. Your infusion will typically take around 40 minutes. You will then stay in the infusion room for about 30 minutes until the medications wear off and you are ready to go home. Most appointments take about an hour and a half, though your first appointment usually takes a little longer. Someone will need to be available to drive you home afterward, but Lighthouse Infusions doesn’t require that they stay at the clinic the whole time.
