As the longest-standing Ketamine provider in DC, Virginia and Maryland, and one of the first providers in the nation to offer this life-saving treatment, the team at the Avesta Ketamine and Wellness clinic understands just how debilitating mood disorders and chronic pain can be. That’s why they offer ketamine infusion therapy to those suffering to help provide them with relief from their symptoms they haven’t found through other treatment methods.

Dr. Ladan Eshkevari is the founder and lead clinician at Avesta Ketamine and Wellness Clinic, which has treated over 1,200 patients and over 13,000 infusions. She and her collaborators at the clinic combine their knowledge of chronic pain, stress response, mood disorders, and other areas of medicine to create a truly collaborative environment for patients living in Tysons, Virginia, Bethesda, Maryland, Columbia, Maryland and Washington DC. The team’s quality of care, excellence in service and dedication to patients makes this the premier Ketamine clinic in Washington DC.

Your Treatment: What to Expect

Schedule an initial free consultation to get started. If you’re eventually determined to be a good candidate for ketamine infusion therapy, expect to be instructed to do the following on the day of your infusion: fill out all necessary forms, wear comfortable clothing that allow Avesta staff to access your arms (for blood pressure and IV start) and your chest (for ECG lead placements), only eat up to 6 hours in advance of the treatment, have clear liquids (water, black coffee, plain tea, or apple juice) up to 2 hours prior to the treatment, and arrange for a ride home from the clinic.

Once in the office, the staff at Avesta Ketamine and Wellness first check a set of baseline vital signs such as your blood pressure, heart rate, oxygenation, and your weight. Depending on whether you are receiving a Spravato Treatment or Intravenous Ketamine treatment, they start the treatment. During this time they keep the environment private, quiet, and relaxing while monitoring you intermittently throughout the infusion. You may listen to your own choice of soothing music.
