Your Treatment: What to Expect

Many people approach ketamine treatments with some trepidation, and this can have a negative effect on the procedure. It is recommended that patients allow that they will feel a bit “weird” during the procedure, but will leave feeling much better.

Patients are constantly monitored during the procedure by either a nurse or doctor. During KAP, a therapist will also sit in on the session. The total visit lasts about two hours.

Ketamine treatments at Initia Nova Wilmington improve depressive symptoms in about 70 percent of patients, and it will be clear quite quickly whether or not the medication is working for you.

Ketamine is a suggested treatment for individuals who have undergone numerous other mainstream procedures and have found little relief from their symptoms. Those who struggle with chronic pain, or with resistant mental health conditions, or both, may find a life-changing alternative in ketamine infusions.
