Your Treatment: What to Expect

A brief preliminary telephone screening will be provided before an initial appointment is offered. At the first appointment, an expert team member at the Ketamine Treatment Center of East Tennessee will assess your suitability for ketamine therapy.

Infusions take place in a comfortable environment and last for about 40 minutes. Throughout the process, patients are monitored by nursing staff and the physician is also present. If conditions allow, you may choose to have a friend or family member present. You will need someone to drive you home after the treatment and must avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, and making legal decisions for the rest of the day.

For the best and longest-lasting results, an initial series of six ketamine infusions is usually recommended over about 3 weeks.
