HealingMaps Take: Asheville Integrative Psychiatry brings ketamine therapy into a full psychiatric practice—meaning patients get coordinated mental health care rather than standalone infusions. For the Asheville area’s wellness-oriented community, this integrative approach aligns well with the region’s holistic health values. A solid option for Western NC patients seeking psychiatrist-supervised ketamine treatment.
Market Position: Asheville Integrative Psychiatry treats both depression and PTSD — the two most common ketamine therapy indications, accounting for 34% of HealingMaps patient inquiries.
This question is matched to the conditions Asheville Integrative Psychiatry treats. Editorial responses are HealingMaps-authored, grounded in our 2026 Ketamine Clinic Intelligence Report.
Yes — Asheville Integrative Psychiatry treats PTSD. Ketamine for trauma differs from depression treatment: dosing is often lower per session, and pairing the protocol with trauma-focused therapy between sessions is common. A reasonable consult question: whether PTSD patients here typically use ketamine alone or alongside an outside therapist.

August 14, 2023 at 10:58 amI’ve never had a treatment so effective in my entire life. The combination of medicine and therapy allowed me to go into topics in my mind that i didn’t realize were driving my behaviors and my feelings of anxiety and depression. I will admit it was a leap of faith to try this approach, but not i am certain this was what ive needed all along. I’m emotionally free to enjoy my daily life, prepared to enter into my retirement years with peace of mind and I’m as emotionally available to my wife as i should be. My wife is quick to tell friends “ I got my husband back.”. This practice sets the standard for care.

March 10, 2022 at 6:04 pmDr Sauls and her team helped me tremendously. I was dealing with anxiety, depression, and PTSD from a previous job that had become paralyzing. All of these issues are gone and/or manageable after going through the protocol at Asheville Integrative Psychiatry. 10/10 would recommend.
