Patients typically undergo a series of four hour-long infusions once referred to the Ember Health clinic and after ketamine infusion therapy has been determined to be a suitable treatment. Slight feelings of nausea or of dissociation from the body are common effects of the treatment. These effects are normal and fade soon after infusion ends. A trained anesthesiologist is on hand to monitor the treatment, and provide support and relief for any uncomfortable side effects.
For patients with depression for whom conventional treatments have been ineffective, ketamine therapy at Ember Health provides an alternative route to recovery. The treatment is for those who are currently undergoing treatment for a depressive condition, but for whom the medications associated with that treatment have provided less positive results than hoped for. The Ember Health team will work in conjunction with your primary care provider to being the road to recovery.
