  • Ember Health is committed to offering significantly reduced infusion fees for up to 20% of its patients at any given time through an income based sliding scale program.
  • Most insurance providers do not cover ketamine infusions, however, the clinic can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance carrier for consideration of reimbursement.
  • The clinic will only provide ketamine treatment to people who are working with an accredited and trusted healthcare provider, including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, or primary care providers. For those not yet connected to a provider, Ember Health can facilitate a referral.
  • Ember Health primarily treats people living in and around New York City, but welcomes those who travel from farther away.

Your Treatment: What to Expect

Patients typically undergo a series of four hour-long infusions once referred to the Ember Health clinic and after ketamine infusion therapy has been determined to be a suitable treatment. Slight feelings of nausea or of dissociation from the body are common effects of the treatment. These effects are normal and fade soon after infusion ends. A trained anesthesiologist is on hand to monitor the treatment, and provide support and relief for any uncomfortable side effects.

Who is this treatment for?

For patients with depression for whom conventional treatments have been ineffective, ketamine therapy at Ember Health provides an alternative route to recovery. The treatment is for those who are currently undergoing treatment for a depressive condition, but for whom the medications associated with that treatment have provided less positive results than hoped for. The Ember Health team will work in conjunction with your primary care provider to being the road to recovery.
