Ketamine Clinics of Los Angeles is the first and only of its kind to be accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). They are a state-of-the-art mental health treatment center that focuses exclusively on the administration of IV ketamine infusions. In just six years since the clinic first opened its doors, the team, led by Dr. Steven L. Mandel, has administered over 10,00 treatments.
Dr. Mandel himself has been administering ketamine for more than 35 years, and holds a board-certification in anesthesiology and a master’s degree in psychology.
According to Ketamine Clinics of Los Angeles, its success rate is 83% for treating depression and other mood disorder patients, with a majority seeing, at a minimum, a 50% reduction of symptoms. The clinic also states that 70% of pain patients reported feeling relief, with a majority seeing at least a 50% reduction in pain.

– Low-dose IV ketamine infusion therapy
KTLA discourages eating or drinking anything for four hours before your scheduled appointment to minimize the risk of nausea. Clear liquids are allowed up to two hours before your appointment.
You won’t be able to drive afterward, so plan on bringing someone to drive you home.
KTLA will communicate with your clinician to learn about your condition and treatment history, and afterward, go over this information with you. Next, you’ll provide more information about your history while filling out paperwork, and then you’ll complete several depression/mood assessments and undergo a brief physical exam.
Intravenous (IV) Infusion Procedure
They administer an individually-tailored dose of ketamine through an IV. Patients receive the IV while sitting in a reclining chair in a private, comfortable room. They are continuously monitored by a healthcare professional using hospital-grade equipment. You’ll also have optional access to noise-canceling headphones, serene music, a sleep mask, blanket, and pillow.
On average, infusions last 50-55 minutes, though sessions are longer for those with pain-related conditions. They advise patients to take it easy for the rest of the day.
KTLA combines any treatment with an extensive aftercare plan and makes its team available to answer questions and check-in with you regularly to monitor your well-being.
The exact cost of ketamine therapy at KTLA depends on the condition being treated. Whether you’re local or traveling from out of town, if insurance coverage is likely to help offset the cost, and several other factors.
