Before recommending ketamine treatments, an expert team member at MindPeace Clinics will assess your suitability for ketamine therapy. This initial appointment will include a thorough psychiatric or pain review and physical examination; setting up MoodMonitor; an explanation of the clinic’s process and what you can expect from ketamine infusions; a review of your urine and blood work to ensure no other causes exist for your symptoms that may be resolved by a different course of treatment; and consultations with your current Primary Care Provider and Mental Health Provider.
Infusions take place in a comfortable environment and last for about 45 minutes. Some patients report out-of-body sensations or mild hallucinations, but these side effects disappear soon after the infusion ends. Throughout the process, patients are monitored by one of the clinic’s highly-trained Registered Nurses.
Initial Medical Evaluations are one (1) hour. Mood Disorder Treatments are 90 minutes or two and a half (2.5) hours depending on the treatment. Migraine Treatments are two and a half (2.5) hours. Chronic Pain Treatments are five (5) hours.
