Your Treatment: What to Expect at Serenity Mental Health Centers

Before recommending ketamine treatments, an expert team member at Serenity will assess your suitability for ketamine therapy. If you’re determined to be a good candidate, a treatment plan will be created and your first infusion scheduled.

Ketamine infusion therapy is a simple procedure conducted under the close medical supervision of a licensed practitioner. Upon arriving at Serenity for your treatment, you’ll be placed in a relaxing atmosphere and receive the medication as an intravenous infusion. The practitioner monitors your treatment experience to ensure comfort and safety at all times. Patients are welcome to bring a book to read, headphones to listen to music, or even a sketchbook to draw art in during the infusion if they so choose.

The procedure time varies by individual, but a typical ketamine appointment will last between one and two hours. Ketamine infusions are typically recommended as a course of up to six treatments administered over a two-week period of time.

EDIT: BE CAREFUL WITH THEIR BILLING DEPARTMENT. They are literally committing fraud with their billing practices and will be reported for it on the state and federal level.

My partner went to get set up with a psychiatrist to further an already set in place treatment plan that was starting that day. After a short interview they sent my partner to the ER as a suicide risk. It was the absolute worst thing they could have done and the psychiatrist even said she thought it was wrong as she called the ambulance. The experience kept him from taking his meds and exacerbated the problem like you wouldn’t believe.

He followed up to let Serenity know they made a really bad call and to be more cautious in the future. They never returned the call and didn’t even bother to send the bill to his insurance and are trying to charge us $500.

I hope they at least heard his call, even if they didn’t return it as requested. Very unprofessional and very unsupportive. I think the psychiatrist was fairly new so additional training is absolutely needed.
