Your Treatment: What to Expect

After you submit the necessary paperwork and Klarity Clinic determines whether or not you’re a good candidate for ketamine therapy, staff at the clinic will contact your provider to confirm your diagnosis and a treatment plan will be put together.

On the day of your treatment at Klarity Clinic, a responsible friend or family member is required to drive you to and from the clinic. Plan on bringing any required paperwork and a Government Issued Photo ID. The clinic recommends that you fast for at least 6 hours prior to your first treatment to minimize the risk of nausea or vomiting. Should you not develop and nausea or vomiting after your first day of treatment, Klarity Clinic may choose to relax these requirements.

Upon arrival at the clinic, you will be asked to complete forms to assist the clinic in assessing your progress. After a brief consultation with the physician, you will be seated in a comfortable chair or bed. A small IV will be placed in your hand, arm, or leg. During the infusion, the clinic will closely monitor your vital signs. Infusions for depression last for approximately 1 hour. Patients typically recover from the infusion within 20-30 minutes. Expect to be at our facility for a total of 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Ketamine infusion therapy involves an initial series of 6 infusions that take place every other day for a period of 2 weeks. Per Klarity Clinic, studies have shown that this protocol for intensive initial treatment maximizes ketamine’s therapeutic benefits and optimizes desired results. While the clinic doesn’t recommend deviating from this protocol, treatments may be customized to accommodate your personal and travel needs. Klarity Clinic utilizes these proven treatment plans in order to achieve the highest chance of success for you.

Abatement of symptoms may last anywhere from 3 weeks to over 6 months. After the initial course, subsequent single maintenance infusions are typically required.

My experience with Klarity Clinic in Cinci was NOT good at all. I had completed Ket IV infusions previously when I lived in a different state, the experience was DRASTICALLY different.

The Ohio location is actually just one Dr that drives in from Dayton to treat people in a hospital wing that isn’t being used. The Doctor didnt factor in Set and Setting, very uncomfortable and sketchy. Doctor Kundu is also very argumentative. I stopped after just one infusion by them, and would NOT recommend going to them. He also would not refund the rest of my downpayment on the full treatment, stating I could come back anytime…. No thank you.
