Nushama Manhattan (Upper East Side) is part of a three-clinic system located in the New York area, which provides ketamine infusions for those seeking an alternative option from typical treatment. Whether a patient is struggling with a mental health illness or chronic pain, Nushama can help alleviate ongoing issues.
The vision of Nushama Manhattan (Upper East Side) is to make mental wellness available to everyone. The clinic achieves this by collaborating with the best medical practitioners and therapists — each with decades of combined experience in various disciplines.
From top medical specialists in mood and pain disorders, addiction, psychiatry, and anesthesiology, Nushama is helping guide a new pathway towards recovery with the help of ketamine therapy.

Before recommending ketamine treatments, an expert team member at Nushama will assess your suitability by evaluating your medical history and current medications, in addition to conducting a full pre-treatment testing including urine and blood tests, blood pressure, and EKG.
Ketamine treatments themselves take place in a dimly lit environment with ambient music. Your vitals and anesthesia levels will constantly be monitored by Nushama doctors.
A typical ketamine protocol at Nushama involves their anesthesiologists administering 6 treatments/infusions over a 2-4 week period, with you receiving up to 2 infusions per week.
Nushama will also work with patients “tap into their inner healer” during the integration phase, which comes after you receive the ketamine treatments.
Finally, Nushama therapists will continue to work with you to ensure the effects are long-lasting. If necessary, you might require additional integration or “booster” sessions.

January 10, 2022 at 7:44 pmI had a wonderful experience at the Nushama clinic. I had a euphoric trip (lots of crying and feeling of love). Helpful for my depression.
The midtown offices are gorgeous and relaxing. The upper east side clinic is more medical and spartan. However if you are nervous about the health consequences: first know that there are none and second, it might be a great comfort to be around every kind of medical device you could ever need.
I was carefully screened beforehand. It was a joy to work with Dr. Elena Ocher. And I had very caring integrationist. I think the founders, Jay and Rich, have very good intentions with their clinics. You can see my experience below:

Because I covered the experience journalistically and was therefore comped, I cannot speak to the “value for money” aspect. (I had to pick a value). But one way of considering the finances is this: I can say that the package includes 6 sessions, and research suggests that each session’s effects last a month. So you can think about what you might spend on mental health related expenses (therapy, vacation, medication) for the duration of your session package and amortize the cost of the package upfront.
