Your Treatment: What to Expect at Relievus Pain Management

If you’re determined to be a good candidate for ketamine infusion therapy at Relievus Pain Management, the expert team will typically begin by scheduling one or two infusions back to back. During the infusions, ketamine is administered over a period of 45 minutes to 60 minutes. Some patients report out-of-body sensations or mild hallucinations, but these side effects disappear soon after the infusion ends. Throughout the process, patients are monitored by one of the clinic’s highly-trained staff.

If the initial infusions prove to be successful, Relievus Pain Management suggests that you receive 2-4 additional infusions over the next 4 weeks (1-2 infusions every 2 weeks).

Who is this treatment for?

Ketamine infusions function as part of a treatment plan or as an alternative to unsuccessful treatments for those whose conventional therapies or medications have had little or no effect on mental and physical health conditions. By increasing glutamate production, and by “resetting” pain signal receptors, ketamine offers hope and health to those dealing with difficult to manage problems.
