Your Treatment: What to Expect

Initial Consult

You do not need a referral to receive Ketamine infusions; however, patients must meet with one of Revitalizing Infusion Therapies’ licensed providers and undergo a thorough history and physical exam. Most patients will not need a referral. But some patients may be asked for a written referral from their mental health or primary care provider.

Treatment protocol varies depending on whether it’s a mood or pain disorder. During your free consultation, you will discuss the best course of treatment for your unique situation.

Do not have anything to eat for 6 hours prior to your scheduled infusion time. You may drink clear liquids up to two hours prior to your scheduled infusion time.

You cannot drive after receiving an infusion. So you will be required by the clinic to have a driver on your infusion days.

Prior to your treatment, you will be escorted to your room where you will relax in a powered recliner. Revitalizing Infusion Therapies’ staff will discuss the details of your treatment. You will be surrounded by soft, relaxing lighting and gentle music, providing a calming influence. Before your treatment begins, you will be offered noise-canceling headphones, eye shades, and even a blanket, if desired.

You will have a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), certified in ACLS and PALS, monitoring your vital signs, comfort level, and overall experience. A provider with an extensive history in Ketamine administration will be by your side throughout the process.

KAP sessions, on the other hand, can either be done in Revitalizing Infusion Therapies’ spa-like clinic or by video-guided experience in the comfort of your home. Each patient is evaluated by the clinic’s psychiatry team prior to treatment, and matched with one of its leading psychedelic therapists.

Who is Ketamine Treatment for?

Ketamine has a bit of stigma and baggage given its history. You may think of it as a “party drug” from the 1990s. But there is a growing amount of research that says it has some positive potential. The more research our major institutions conduct, the less stigma there will be around these drugs. And if they can help people with drug-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc,. Then why wouldn’t we put these to use in proper, clinical settings?
