Your Treatment: What to Expect

An initial assessment is necessary to rule out potential contraindications. Patients undergo a series of infusions over 1-2 weeks. Although a psychedelic compound, ketamine is infused in small enough amounts that side effects are subtle, and often quite pleasurable. First infusions at Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine are at a lower dose. Upon establishing tolerance to the medication, subsequent infusions are stronger and longer.

Patient Questions about Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine

This 3-question summary is matched to the protocols and conditions Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine treats. Editorial responses are HealingMaps-authored, grounded in our 2026 Ketamine Clinic Intelligence Report.

Is Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine suited for treatment-resistant depression?

Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine treats depression via IV ketamine (off-label, evidence-based). Insurance coverage is rare for IV/KAP — most patients pay out of pocket. TRD is typically defined as two or more prior antidepressant trials without sufficient response — patients meeting that bar are best candidates here.

Does Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine treat chronic pain conditions?

Yes — Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine treats chronic pain. They use IV ketamine for pain, which typically means longer infusion times and higher cumulative doses than mental-health protocols. Common indications include complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), fibromyalgia, and certain neuropathic pain syndromes. Pain pricing varies significantly by structure: per-infusion vs. multi-day inpatient packages — verify how this clinic structures their billing.

Does Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine treat PTSD?

Yes — Kentuckiana Integrative Medicine treats PTSD. Ketamine for trauma differs from depression treatment: dosing is often lower per session, and pairing the protocol with trauma-focused therapy between sessions is common. A reasonable consult question: whether PTSD patients here typically use ketamine alone or alongside an outside therapist.
