Your Treatment: What to Expect

Prior to treatment, an expert CRNA will screen each patient to determine the suitability of ketamine as a treatment. Infusions for mental health conditions last 45 minutes, while those for chronic pain last 2 – 4 hours, depending on the condition being treated. Infusions take place in private rooms with reclining chairs. Patients are monitored throughout the procedure by expert staff, both through monitoring devices and interaction with the patient. Some patients report dissociative effects, such as floating, out-of-body sensations. These, and any other side effects, vanish soon after treatment ends.

Who is this treatment for?

Those diagnosed with resistant disorders and who have not seen significant improvement with conventional medication may be eligible for ketamine treatments. According to Quad Cities Ketamine Clinic, traditional “antidepressants don’t work for around one-third of people with depression.” Four out of five patients at the Quad Cities clinic were able to reduce or eliminate the need for medication, and “get back to a more productive and fulfilling life.”
