Important Info

  • The clinic provides an extensive list of contraindications for ketamine. Among these conditions are dementing disorders (e.g., Alzheimer’s), substance use disorders, and alcohol use disorder. See the F.A.Q. for complete list.
  • Patients will need to be accompanied by a reliable driver post-treatment.
  • Depending on treatment, dosages cost from $200 – $1000.
  • Please check with your healthcare insurance provider to see if ketamine therapy is covered.

Your Treatment: What to Expect

Prior to beginning treatment, patients have an initial consultation that determines the nature and severity of their condition. A treatment plan is based on this assessment. Depending on the formulation of ketamine being used, patients can expect to be at the clinic for 1.5 – 2 hours per treatment, with a course of treatments running 4 – 6 infusions over 2 weeks. The most common side effect of ketamine therapy is dissociation, and though a common effect, any patients who experience discomfort will be monitored and treated by a trained member of the staff.

Who is this treatment for?

Ketamine therapy at Braxia Health Montreal offers an alternative medication to mainstream oral medications. Many who suffer from difficult to manage mental health conditions find little relief in these mainstream medications. Ketamine shows significant reduction in symptoms sometimes after only one infusion. In conjunction with a primary psychiatric caregiver, ketamine therapy can be a safe and effective way of overcoming the challenges associated with mental illness.

About Ketamine Therapy

Ketamine therapy has emerged as a leading option for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and chronic pain. Most clinics deliver ketamine via IV infusion in a series of six sessions over two to three weeks, often paired with integration support to reinforce the therapeutic experience. Patient Questions about Braxia Health

This 4-question summary is matched to the protocols and conditions Braxia Health treats. Editorial responses are HealingMaps-authored, grounded in our 2026 Ketamine Clinic Intelligence Report.

Does Braxia Health offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP)?

Yes — Braxia Health offers KAP, which combines ketamine dosing with structured psychotherapy during the dissociative window. KAP sessions are longer than standalone infusions and priced accordingly. A reasonable consult question: whether KAP is delivered by a single integrated provider, or by a separate therapist working with the prescribing clinician.

Is Braxia Health suited for treatment-resistant depression?

Braxia Health treats depression via KAP for trauma-anchored depression. Insurance coverage is rare for IV/KAP — most patients pay out of pocket. TRD is typically defined as two or more prior antidepressant trials without sufficient response — patients meeting that bar are best candidates here.

Does Braxia Health treat chronic pain conditions?

Yes — Braxia Health treats chronic pain. Common indications include complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), fibromyalgia, and certain neuropathic pain syndromes. Pain pricing varies significantly by structure: per-infusion vs. multi-day inpatient packages — verify how this clinic structures their billing.

Can Braxia Health help with anxiety disorders?

Yes — Braxia Health treats anxiety, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder. The evidence base for ketamine in anxiety is less robust than for depression, but it can be a meaningful option for patients who haven’t responded to SSRIs or benzodiazepines. Worth asking which of their protocols they typically recommend for anxiety-primary patients.

I had Ketamine infusion treatment last year for medication resistant depression and anxiety. They tell you at the beginning that therapy does not work for everyone. I had eight infusion sessions with no relief of symptoms. After each session you are given encouraging support, ” Don’t worry, you will feel better, ” Next time it will work”, etc. You get a big affectionate send-off and a follow-up call. After my 8th session I said that I didn’t feel any better They encouraged me to continue treatments. Originally they tell you that eight sessions is enough. Now it’s,” Well some people need ten sessions”. When I expressed concern about the cost they turned cold. No big goodbye. No follow-up call. I was supposed to receive an appointment to discuss oral treatment but that call never came. They must have realized I wasn’t willing to waste more money. They should tell you that if you feel nothing after the first couple of times it probably won’t work.My impression- over the top fake sympathy and money grubbing.
