My Doctor Medical Group was founded by Dr. Paul Abramson, MD, and offers Ketamine-assisted treatment for several psychological and pain conditions. Dr. Abramson has been safely administering ketamine for years and is certified in Psychedelic Therapies and Research by the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research program at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Ketamine is a potential option for those seeking help with mental health conditions related to depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), among others. Dr. Abramson’s team of behavioral medicine experts designs integrated treatment plans for individuals that can combine advanced medical diagnostics and therapeutics, psychotherapy and applied neuroscience, and psychopharmacology. Plans can also include nutritional support, dietary supplements, acupuncture, personal training, and other modalities.

Referral Required
The clinic is currently accepting ketamine treatment patients who are directly referred by a treating medical doctor, psychiatrist, or psychologist who can verify their diagnoses, coordinate with us, and provide follow up care after ketamine sessions.
Out of Network
My Doctor Medical Group is a direct medical practice and considered an out-of-network provider for all commercial insurance. Patients pay for services at the time rendered. The clinic’s biller then submits a claim electronically to a patient’s insurance company “out of network” on their behalf, or gives them an itemized receipt to submit themself.
Most lab tests, imaging, specialist consultation, and hospital services that the clinic’s staff orders can be at in-network vendors for those with PPO insurance. The clinic can also help patients get the best value from their insurance and limit out of pocket costs.
Patients with PPO insurance can recover a percentage of the amount allowed (by the insurance company) for each service/code, after deductibles and coinsurance.
Patients with Kaiser or HMO insurance will typically not get reimbursement for out of network services.
Prior to receiving ketamine-assisted treatments, patients undergo a medical evaluation and laboratory testing. The medical staff then determines if off-label use of ketamine is a clinically appropriate part of the treatment plan.
The Process
If ketamine treatment is prescribed, all scheduled treatments are attended by a qualified professional under close physiologic monitoring.
Standard ketamine protocol for mood disorders can be intravenous or intramuscular (depending on the diagnosis and individual assessment), and can range from 1-6 sessions for the initial course, followed by intermittent sessions for maintenance if needed.
The infusion protocols for chronic pain conditions and headaches are usually longer in duration and include other adjunctive medications.
Post-Treatment
After treatment, the patient may return to their usual care team, or choose to continue care with My Doctor Medical Group on an ongoing basis. They structure ketamine-assisted therapies to ensure an integrated and effective experience.
