Working with the Amazonian plant medicine ayahuasca under the guidance of indigenous Peruvian Shipibo healers, the Soltara Healing Center collaborates with clinical psychologists. Each of these leaders have extensive plant medicine experience to support a uniquely integrative healing approach.
Additionally, the Shipibo healers and facilitators at Soltara Healing Center are highly-skilled, gentle and loving. They help guide the self-discovery process by using plant medicine healing, supportive holistic modalities, and modern psychotherapeutic practices.
The Soltara Healing Center aims to create a culture and community based on balanced, practical, accessible information grounded in a spirit of cultural awareness and education.

Attending an ayahuasca retreat can be a very moving and powerful experience. It is always recommended to do as much research and ask as many questions as possible before getting on a plane. Always call any retreat before putting down a deposit. Email is great, but it’s always great to speak to a person. And scour the Internet for discussion groups. While you shouldn’t trust everything you read on the Internet, it’s good to get a sense of the discussions. Take the individual reviews with a grain of salt. But is the tone positive or negative? Are there a lot of reviews? Are there general themes that emerge? (Both good and bad.) Do your homework and you will feel much more confident going into a retreat experience.
