    Stay away from this place!

The owner Lou is a cheap old man who only cares about how much money he can make off of you.
He charged me a discounted price of $5100 USD but failed to mention that many of key elements to treatment would not be included. Had I known this I would have paid a higher price at a different clinic. Also there was a discrepancy with the money I had sent him even though I attached receipts that showed I had paid the full amount he claimed that I was $160 short. I asked him for the receipts of my payments but he refused to prove that I was short and he threatened to withhold treatment because of this.

Secondly, Lou fails to mention what is and isn’t included in the “discounted price”. The website states that there will be counselling done with a clinical psychologist pre and post treatment, massage therapy, yoga, meditation, a recreation day and a Myer’s cocktail. None of these things were offered or mentioned during my stay which left me and the other patients confused. But as soon as he has his deposit and you’re down there it is too late.

Thirdly, the website has the wrong address on it that shows an
actual licensed medical facility, which the actual address is clearly not. It also states that he has a doctor on staff which he does not, he just pays a doctor to make house calls but he is not there for the patients until a very brief visit the day before treatment and then when the treatment is happening and then he is gone not to be heard from or seen again. Definitely does not make you feel very safe or that you are good hands for this risky treatment. Furthermore, the doctor recommends the day before that you should have discontinued medications that may interfere with the treatment for at least 5 days, however when I emailed Lou asking about if I should stop taking my medications before coming he incorrectly informed me I would be fine which means he is either incompetent or negligible in ibogaine treatment and he fails to consult with the doctor on such matters which can dramatically effect the ibogaine experience and potentially cause serious complications with the procedure.

Next, the pictures they have included on the website are inaccurate of their “facility”. Many pictures show a medical center that looks legitimate whereas the house you stay at clearly is not. Rather, the outdated and older house they provide to patients includes outlandish rules like no blankets or sitting/laying down on certain couches whilst the house is
    extremely cold.

Furthermore, Lou’s response to me mentioning that 5-meo-dmt can often supplement and provide extra benefits to patients after ibogaine treatment was dismissive, argumentative and outright incorrect. In fact, many actual clinics that offer ibogaine also provide the 5-meo-dmt due to multiple studies showing the benefits of it.

And lastly, Lou’s greed and shady business dealings are well known in the ibogaine business and he has a reputation of cutting corners to make an extra buck which could end very poorly for vulnerable, desperate and naive addicts that he preys on. He even wrote a Facebook review for his own business that said he attended treatment at the facility and loved it. When it was printed out to him he denied it and removed the post. Shady!

It seems to me that the only saving grace they had for the
“facility” was his underpaid and overworked staff including the wonderful Rossy and all of the nurses. I feel bad for them that they get treated that poorly by him and are constantly under his surveillance including 16 cameras that he checks constantly.

It is my hope that he either fix these issues before something bad happens or he shuts down tis facility until it can be run properly and competently by someone who puts patient care first and foremost and does not prey on the vulnerable, desperate and weak addicts who often come to this facility as a last ditch effort for help.
